From a studio steps from the hotel to a mountaintop class above the clouds yoga for every practice.

Dutton Berry Farm is a Southern Vermont institution, and the Newfane location — right on Route 30, less than a mile from Otherland Hotel — is the only spot in the Dutton family of farm stands that offers pick-your-own. The berry fields are visible from the road; just follow the signs and drive to the parking area. In summer, the fields yield strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and red currants, with each variety coming into season at different points through July and August. PYO is available seven days a week from 7am to 5pm during the season — an easy early morning outing before the heat of the day sets in.
The farm stand itself is well worth a stop on the way back. Dutton's stocks fresh-picked produce, homemade pies and jams, baked goods, Dutton-made fudge, local honey, Vermont maple syrup, flowers, and a range of locally made pantry goods. The Maple Creemee — a soft-serve made with Dutton's own maple syrup — is a Vermont rite of passage and not to be missed. Come fall, the stand also carries multiple apple varieties and freshly pressed cider.
Pick-your-own season typically runs from late June through August, depending on the crop and the weather — it's worth calling ahead to confirm what's ready before you visit. Dutton's products are not certified organic, though many crops are grown without spraying and the farm practices integrated pest management throughout. A simple, genuinely local outing that's hard to beat on a summer morning.
